Drone stocks, including ZenaTech (NASDAQ: ZENA), Red Cat Holdings (NASDAQ: RCAT), Ondas Holdings (NASDAQ: ONDS), Kratos Defense & Security Solutions (NASDAQ: KTOS), and Draganfly Inc. (NASDAQ: DPRO) (CSE: DPRO) could fly to higher highs.

For one, drones are just starting to revolutionize various multi-billion-dollar industires, such as construction and infrastructure, agriculture, logistics, energy and utilities, public security, engineering and telecom to name a few. Two, with support from the Trump Administration, drone technology has become an essential tool for the government.

Remember, President Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” unlocks federal funding for domestic production, and cuts outdated certification and procurement barriers, and fast-tracks deployment directly to frontline units. It also provides $33 billion in direct spending for advanced drones, autonomous systems, and broader U.S. defense modernization.

In addition, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth’s latest policy directive, Unleashing U.S. Military Drone Dominance, just made it easier for American drone companies—especially those building Group 1 and 2 affordable drone systems—to sell directly to the military, scale production, and innovate without delays from traditional defense procurement bottlenecks including Blue UAS certification timelines.

In short, there’s a good deal of powerful government support for drone stocks.

Fueling momentum, ZenaTech’s ZenaDrone just Established Washington, D.C. Area Office Strengthening U.S. Defense Revenue Opportunities and Federal Government Market Access

ZenaTech just announced its drone subsidiary, ZenaDrone, has opened a Washington, D.C. area office to accelerate federal government market access and US defense agency engagement, which is expected to build a strong federal footprint for defense business revenue growth.

Located in Manassas, Va, located within the greater D.C. Metro area, the new office provides proximity to military program managers and executives, procurement decision makers, and congressional leaders, potentially enabling faster collaboration for earlier alignment on evolving defense priorities. Intended to house ZenaDrone’s core defense sector functions, including business development, capture, and military program support, the company is currently recruiting two business development professionals for the new location to collaborate on ongoing defense initiatives.

“Having a Washington-based presence and local business development means we can engage directly with defense program offices and shape requirements early to win federal contracts through established DoW (Department of War) procurement channels,” said Shaun Passley, Ph.D., ZenaTech CEO. “By positioning our team inside the federal ecosystem and combined with our U.S.-based drone production operations in Arizona, we are building a strong foundation for defense revenue growth, advancing American-built drone systems at the speed and scale the U.S. military and NATO now requires.”

The company’s portfolio of drone offerings for the defense industry, currently at various development and cybersecurity certification readiness stages, includes:

· The ZenaDrone 1000, a medium-sized VTOL (Vertical Takeoff and Landing) rugged construction drone capable of lifting ~40 kg, with AI-enabled autonomy, and secure communications via its proprietary DroneNet system. Designed for inspection, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) applications, critical cargo applications, and border patrol via a gas version currently under development being designed for longer flights. It has undergone paid trials with both the U.S. Air Force and Navy Reserve for applications including critical cargo delivery such as medical supplies

· The IQ Square, a VTOL drone (starting size 40”X40”) engineered for line-of-sight land surveys, infrastructure inspections, road and bridge inspections, and defense reconnaissance tasks

· The IQ Nano, a compact indoor drone (starting size 20″×20″), built to operate in GPS-denied environments like warehouses or military infrastructures for inventory management via barcode scanning and security applications, it features obstacle avoidance and AI-driven drone swarms or fleets

Other related developments from around the markets include:

Red Cat Holdings, a U.S.-based provider of advanced, all-domain robotic solutions for defense and national security, today announced a strategic collaboration with Safe Pro Group Inc., a leading provider of artificial intelligence (AI)-computer vision technologies. Through this collaboration, Safe Pro’s patented AI-powered image analysis technology will be embedded into Red Cat’s Black Widow drones, enabling U.S. and allied ground personnel to rapidly identify and locate more than 150 types of explosive threats including landmines, anti-personnel mines, cluster munitions, and unexploded ordnance (UXO) in real-time. The integration will allow Safe Pro’s Object Threat Detection (SPOTD) system to process real-time 4k video onboard the Black Widow at the tactical edge and deliver live threat data directly to military situational awareness platforms such as the U.S. Army’s Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK) software ecosystem, enhancing and accelerating decision making critical to mission success.

Ondas Holdings, a leading provider of private industrial wireless networks and commercial drone and automated data solutions, announced a definitive agreement to acquire Apeiro Motion, an Israeli developer of advanced ground robotics, fiber optic communications systems and mission-critical automation technologies which will be operated under the Company's Ondas Autonomous Systems business unit. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close in the third quarter of 2025. "Apeiro will bring to Ondas a rare combination of world-class engineering talent, field-proven platform development capabilities, and trusted relationships with premier defense customers," said Eric Brock, Chairman and CEO of Ondas. "Their team has shown an exceptional ability to deliver mature, mission-ready autonomous systems that are both innovative and operationally valuable. We believe this acquisition will align perfectly with our strategy to lead the autonomous defense and security sector by bringing operating scale, commercial reach, and platform integration to the next generation of dual-use robotic technologies."

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, a technology company in defense, national security, and global markets, today unveiled its innovative “Ragnarök” Low-Cost Cruise Missile (LCCM) system, representing a significant advancement in tactical strike capabilities. The Ragnarök LCCM features an optimized design that enables exceptional performance metrics for a system in its class. This strike-focused platform offers an impressive 500 nautical mile range while carrying an 80-pound payload, making it ideal for precision engagement missions across a variety of operational scenarios.

Draganfly Inc., an industry-leading developer of drone solutions and systems, today announced that it has appointed Drone Nerds, a leading U.S. drone retailer, integrator, and service provider, as an official value-added reseller (VAR) for its full line of NDAA-compliant unmanned aerial systems. Drone Nerds will provide sales, integration, training, support, and service for Draganfly’s public safety-grade drone systems across the U.S. and allied markets. As part of this arrangement Drone Nerds will display the Draganfly product line at its upcoming ElevateUAV 2025 conference on October 21–22 in Miami, Florida, where Cameron Chell, CEO of Draganfly, will lead a featured session titled “The Merits and Complexity of NDAA-Compliant Drones.”
