Why People Need to Listen to Huang and Altman

When Nvidia (NVDA) CEO Jensen Huang and OpenAI’s Sam Altman speak, people should listen. Artificial intelligence will likely disrupt jobs. Whole classes of jobs could disappear.

In addition to holding firms that supply AI hardware, people need to brace for job changes. Nvidia, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Microsoft (MSFT), Alphabet (GOOG), Meta Platforms (META), and Amazon (AMZN) are the top AI software and hardware firms to consider. Left out of the list is Apple (AAPL).

Apple does not yet have a fully functional Apple Intelligence. Customers continue to wait for its AI to work without bugs. In addition, Siri needs to work flawlessly.

As for AI, CEO Huang predicted that some jobs would become obsolete. Fortunately, companies will demand higher productivity. This requires hiring more people. These hopeful words are in contrast to Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei’s warning. Amodei predicted that AI could wipe out half of all entry-level office jobs.

Companies in the staffing and employment services market to watch include Paychex (PAYX), Robert Half (RHI), Manpower (MAN), and Kforce (KFRC).

Altman wrote that AI might cause a whole class of jobs to go away. Furthermore, robots could have the capacity to build other robots to complete tasks in the physical world.

Robotic stocks to consider in the robotic and automation space include ABB (ABB), Rockwell Automation (ROK), and UiPath (PATH)
