Apple To Hold Developers Conference June 9-13

Apple (AAPL) has announced that it will hold its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) from June 9 to 13.

The event, which is accessible to the public online, is closely followed by analysts, investors, and the media as it includes announcements related to software updates.

The conference also typically includes new developments and updates concerning Apple products such as the iPhone, iPad, and MacBook computer.

Analysts say new announcements get consumers excited about Apple products and can also attract new customers to the company.

However, the elephant in the room at this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference will be artificial intelligence (A.I.).

Specifically, A.I.-enabled features for the iPhone and other Apple electronic devices.

At last year’s event, Apple unveiled new A.I. capabilities for the iPhone such as rewriting emails and summarizing messages for users.

However, Apple recently said that highly anticipated A.I. improvements to its voice assistant Siri will be delayed, likely until 2026.

Apple was expected to announce the Siri A.I. enhancements this spring.

Analysts at Swiss bank UBS Group (UBS) recently said that investors shouldn’t expect any A.I. upgrades from Apple this year as the company is still developing the technology.

Apple stock is down 8% this year and currently trading at $223.75 U.S. per share.
